MY JOURNEY BACK TO AUTHENTICITY

Hitting Rock Bottom

It’s 6.15pm on Friday afternoon in September 2018, and I can hear the Bangkok hustle and bustle outside of my window. As I sit on the edge of my bed, overwhelmed and in tears. It’s been another week of feeling stressed out, overworked, lost, anxious and alone. 

"I'm done," I confessed to Curtis, my partner.

Thirteen months into my all-consuming coaching and training business, I was at a maxed out. A 23-year fitness career retired, yet feelings of burnout, stress and loneliness persisted. Despite the 10-20K months, I should have been thriving. Yet…

I was still living week to week.
I felt like I was drowning in financial instability and being choked by the pressure of being the main income earner in our home. 

Consistently investing in mentors, coaches, travel and programs in the attempt to MAKE IT. 

To become a million dollar coach. This was my internal mark of success.

Which only left me feeling depleted, exhausted, tired, incapable and ultimately burned out.

The business I was pouring my soul into every day, left me feeling emptier day by day.

My 3 year-old daughter, Brooklyn, yearned for my presence. Instead, I closed my home office door as her tears echoed. 

Meanwhile, I was on the inside of those four walls, with a broken heart. 
Consumed with guilt and the realisation that my freedom-seeking journey was trapping me.
 

This is my evolution, my story, my truth.

A Gental Nudge

Desperate for solutions, I turned to wine to quell my anxiety. The weight of unfulfilled dreams overshadowed me. The harsh glare of exhaustion dimmed my vision of impacting millions.

“Move back to Australia”, she whispered.

I feel instant resistance… Back "home" after 17 years, I question.

Yet my intuition is relentless – giving me a gentle nudge toward alignment.

2 months later, we touched down in Sydney with next to nothing but each other. Greeted by Mum’s big smile and hug. 

The transition was jarring. 

I go from chasing false freedom to diving into network marketing, chasing the money and lifestyle I am promised.

Until something pivotal happened.

A lightbulb moment. I realise within all of the misalignment I am experiencing, I am not following my own truth. 

I am not living in alignment with my soul, my genius, or my passion.

I tuned inwards. I allowed myself to feel and trust my inner wisdom. My gut. My intuition.. My soul and higher self were guiding me back to MY highest truth, and full soul alignment. 

In chasing the money and lifestyle I am missing the point. 

A return to coaching -  is calling.

Energized and aligned, my business soars. Again, exhaustion creeping in again. Burnout threatening, and I recognise my pattern. 
Instead of pushing, and forcing, I choose me.

Release. A radical shift toward self-nurturing my focus. 
Amid self-discovery, I understand that real success is within. 

No more external validation or relentless striving.

In embracing myself, I found my true mark of success. It's not about millions but being present, joyful, and aligned. It's about the deep and soulful connections I get to have with the soul-aligned women in my world who are also here to do big things, who have big dreams on their hearts and huge visions to fulfill on. 
With or without the money, I'm free.

So here I stand, authentic, unwavering, and transformed. 

This journey wasn't ever about proving worth but embracing my soul's calling and living it – wholeheartedly.
